Ministry Information

Torch Ministries is a non-profit organization that was begun by James and Tara Schorr in 1999 for the purpose of proclaiming the clear gospel of Jesus Christ to the world by the power of the Holy Spirit. We have been ministering together as a team for many years and love doing so! We firmly believe in blessing the body of Christ world-wide through prayer, support and encouragement.

Our main emphases are:

1) Introducing and encouraging people to pursue a deep, wonderful relationship with God, through Jesus Christ.
2) Passionate, fervent prayer for the lost and persecuted believers worldwide.
3) "Abandoned" worship that transcends mere singing of songs or outward actions (see John 4:23-24).
4) Anointed, Spirit-led preaching of the Word of God (see I Peter 4:11 & I Cor. 2:3-5).

We are supported by free-will offerings. Please pray about whether God wants you to support us. We never manipulate people into giving to us, but rather only encourage people to give whatever God is putting on their hearts. Every dollar that is donated goes towards ministry costs.
